Creative Programme

Revolutionaries

RevolutionariesThe Revolutionaries project aims to showcase emerging talent from 16 to 25 year olds in the Kirklees area, in the areas of design, multimedia, music and literature.

To access the best talent we’re working alongside specialists in each area – organisations such as Huddersfield Literature Festival, Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival and the University of Huddersfield – to add a commissioning strand to their activity, specifically targeting the emerging talent of young people.

LEGO serious play

LEGO serious playWhat is Lego Serious Play? It’s the same Lego you might have played with when you were young – but this time it comes with a focus on innovation and business development.

Lego is used to create metaphors, so that participants can work through imaginary scenarios using three-dimensional models. It can be used as a straightforward strategy tool, modeling your organisation, or in product development; in looking at new ways for organisations to collaborate or in coming up with creative solutions to issues facing society.

The Media Centre are working in collaboration with the University of Huddersfield to develop an ‘innovation circle’, investigating ways in which Lego Serious Play can become a means of stimulating innovation between businesses and a mechanism for planning business growth..
